Why ValueTronics?
ValueTronics was founded 1992 as a buyer and seller of used and
refurbished test equipment. We supply electronic test equipment to major
corporations around the world as well as to smaller end users who want to buy,
sell, and trade electronic test equipment. We currently have over 10,000
instruments in stock at our facility in Elgin, IL and a customer base of
89,000 contacts worldwide.
In 2004, we added a distributor business unit. We were pleased to announce that
our first distributor partner was
BK Precision. As this turned out to be a successful venture, we have
since added Anaheim Scientific, California Instruments, Cal Test Electronics, Com-Power, Fluke, Instek, Sorensen (formerly Xantrex) and Tektronix,. In the future, we plan to add more partners to our distribution
program in order to give you a larger selection of test equipment to meet your
needs.

Our Most important Asset is our People
Our application engineers and management staff has over 150 years of experience
in the sales of refurbished electronic test equipment. We can help you with
recommendations of test instruments that may solve your measurement problem and
save you time and money. When you call us, you will not get voice mail.
We believe that if you take the time to call us regarding your need to purchase
or sell test equipment, you should be able to speak to one of our sales staff
about your requirements. Many of our sales staff came from the electronic test
equipment rental industry or from companies such as Hewlett Packard and
Tektronix, and have a broad knowledge of test equipment and its application.
We will Sell Your Underutilized Assets
Another of our business units is the Consignment Sales Group. This group uses
our world wide marketing structure to sell customer owned test equipment to our
89,000 customers and contacts worldwide. It's very simple; we have the
customers that want to purchase your underutilized assets. (An underutilized
asset is any piece of general purpose electronic test equipment or
telecommunication test equipment, made by any of the manufacturers
listed on our site, that is not currently in use at your facility.) We will
work with your asset management group to sell your surplus test equipment for
you. This is not an auction; we will generally yield a return 30% to 40% higher
than you would receive from an auction. Your equipment is added to our
inventory list, general listings on our web page (products
and manufacturers), and will also appears on
our sales item page . Our six application engineers
see this equipment every day and will sell your item from our stock before
trying to find another unit from an outside vendor.
You do not have to be a large company to use this service. We will sell a single
item or hundreds of items for you. You can use the proceeds from the sale to
buy refurbished or new test equipment from us.
