Edgerton, Germeshausen, and Grier, Inc., or EG&G, got its start as a U.S. national defense contractor. EG&G provided defense management solutions and technical solutions. It has played a part in several important national events, including World War II, nuclear tests with the Atomic Energy Commission, and high-tech military equipment testing. EG&G is a manufacturer of test equipment such as sensors, security systems, amplifiers, preamplifiers, imaging products, and microwave and electronic components.
