Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes

Mixed signal oscilloscopes have two kinds of inputs. They have a small number of analog channels (typically two to four) and a larger number of digital channels (typically 16). Mixed signal oscilloscopes test equipment by combining the capabilities of a digital storage oscilloscope and a logic analyzer. They are less complex to use than logic analyzers, but lack some of the advanced digital measurement functions. Most mixed signal oscilloscopes have components such as digital-to-analog converters, embedded systems, and control systems.

When you test equipment, you can set the trigger on most mixed signal oscilloscopes across digital and analog channels. Mixed signal oscilloscopes enable you to accurately time-correlate both.
