222060 Biddle HiPot

The 222060 is a HiPot from Biddle. HiPot, or high potential, is a class of electronic test equipment used to verify electrical insulation. Engineers use HiPot-testing instruments on cables, wires, circuit boards, appliances, electric motors, and transformers. As a product ages, its insulation may break down and result in current flow leakage. HiPot testers keep engineers safe from current leakages by detecting gaps and defects in the electronic device. Dielectric Testers, Insulation Testers, and Megohmmeters are similar to HiPot testers. Popular manufacturers include Biddle, Megger, Fluke, Associated Research, Quadtech, Instek, and Slaughter.

Additional Features:

  • Max Voltage: 60kVDC
  • Max Current: 5mA continuous
  • Polarity: Negitive with respect to ground
  • AC Supply Voltage: 110-130 VAC
  • 50/60 Hz, single phase, grounded
  • 9 amps max
  • Ripple: full load: 2%

The Biddle AVO 222060 is a two piece test set comprized of a control unit and high voltage unit. It is a stabilized dielectric test set for use in the field, shop or laboratory for measuring the electrical quantities of applied voltage and current flowing in specimens to which it is connected. Because it incorporates a stabilizing arrangement, measrement of variations in current with time are simplified. It has a very light-weight design for convenient transportation.
