The Narda 3034 is a coaxial hybrid junction and is used in duplexers, mixers, power dividers, switches, phase shifter, diplexers, directional filters and other circuits requiring a division of power into two transmission lines. A signal into any terminal of a hybrid appears at the two opposite terminals. The two output signals are equal in amplitude, but one signal is shifted 90° in phase with respect to the other. The input and output terminals are inline, so TR tubes may be operated between a pair of hybrids. Rugged construction ensures performance during shock, vibration and severe atmospheric conditions.

The hybrid consists of two coupled coaxial transmission lines using rectangular center conductors. The conductors are supported by matched Teflon beads, and are mounted in an aluminum block for light weight combined with rigidity.
