The 89411A is a vector signal analyzer from Agilent. Engineers use signal analyzers to combine the capabilities of spectrum and vector signal analyzers. A signal analyzer is a piece of electronic test equipment that takes measurements of power, magnitude, distortion, phase noise, modulation, and demodulation quality of input signals.

The Agilent 89411A converts a 21.4 MHz IF output from an external receiver to the input frequency range of the Agilent 89410A. This downconverter is also compatible with the Agilent 89440A and Agilent 89441A. It is designed for use with various Agilent  microwave spectrum analyzers and other devices with compatible 21.4 MHz IF outputs.

Frequency coverage is thus available over the complete frequency range of the microwave receiver or analyzer. The Agilent 89411A IF downconverter works with the Agilent 89410A to provide narrowband vector signal analysis at RF and microwave frequencies.
