MS8606A Anritsu Communication Analyzer

Used
The MS8606A is a communication analyzer from Anritsu. The Anritsu MS8604A is a full-featured digital mobile transmitter tester for evaluating the major characteristics of transmitters used in the North-American Digital Cellular Systems, (NADC), Japan's digital mobile telephone (PDC: Personal Digital Cellular) system, and by cordless telephones (PHS: Personal Handy Phone System). The Anritsu MS8604A covers frequencies from 100 Hz to 8.5 GHz, and measures spurious emissions over a broad frequency range. The Anritsu MS8604A can also measure RF signals directly up to 10 W (average burst power) and baseband devices can be evaluated using its I/Q signal input function (option). The Anritsu MS8604A is ideal for high-speed measurement of frequency deviation, spurious emissions, occupied bandwidth, antenna power, leakage power during carrier-off, transmission ramp-up and rampdown power, modulation accuracy, leakage power of adjacent channel, and signal transmission rate of digital mobile transmitters. In addition to measurements conforming to EIA/TIA, ETSI, RCR, and MKK standards, DSP (digital signal processing) and highspeed measurement function based on a unique measurement algorithm combine to greatly reduce the time required for manufacturing and inspecting transmitters. PTA functions on the MS8604A enables free programming of test procedures are provided as a standard feature.

Additional Features:

  • Frequency Range: 300 kHz-3 GHz
  • For CDMA, PDC Measurement
  • High-Speed, High Precision Measurements
  • Built-In Spectrum Analyzer and AF Measurement Functions
  • Maximum Input Level:Main Connector:  +40dBm (10W) Aux. Connector:  +20dBm (100mW).
  • Input Impedance:  50 ohms VSWR.
  • Input Connectors: Main Conncetor: N-Type Aux. Connector:  TNC-Type

The MS8606A can measure CDMA (IS-95, ARIB STD-T53) forward and reverse transmission characteristics. It is ideal for measuring transmitter characteristics including frequency, waveform quality, timing error, code domain power, transmitter power, occupied bandwidth, neighboring spurious, etc. The MS8606A can measure PDC transmission characteristic such as transmission frequency and power, modulation accuracy, occupied bandwidth, and adjacent channel power, in addition to the bit error rate. The built-in spectrum analyzer covers frequencies of 10 MHz to 3 GHz making it ideal for R&D. In addition, the general-purpose evaluation functions can be used to measure the adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, and sideband noise of radio equipment.
