The BTS Master MT8221B and MT8222B are high-performance handheld base station analyzers from Anritsu, introduced for installation and maintenance of wireless networks. Each model combines a Cable and Antenna Analyzer, a Spectrum Analyzer, and a Power Meter in a single handheld instrument, with support for HSPA+ and LTE, 20 MHz demodulation bandwidth, and a Vector Signal Generator for receiver testing.
The platform is built for installation and maintenance of wireless networks. Across its three core functions and optional packages it covers cable and antenna line sweep measurements (Return Loss, VSWR, Cable Loss, Distance-to-Fault, Phase, and Gain), spectrum and interference analysis, channel scanning, coverage mapping, PIM analysis when paired with PIM Master, and E1/T1/T3 backhaul bit-error-rate testing.
ValueTronics supplies this instrument from our own 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where we stock and hold our inventory rather than sourcing to order. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
The BTS Master MT822xB series is a family of high-performance handheld base station analyzers comprising the MT8221B and MT8222B. Both models integrate a Cable and Antenna Analyzer, a Spectrum Analyzer, and a Power Meter, and both are introduced for installation and maintenance of wireless networks with support for HSPA+ and LTE and an optional Vector Signal Generator for receiver testing.
The two models share an identical Spectrum Analyzer range of 150 kHz to 7.1 GHz and an identical Power Meter range of 10 MHz to 7.1 GHz. They differ in the frequency coverage of the Cable and Antenna Analyzer, which sets the primary selection point between them.
Each model below is its own dedicated product page with pre-owned-matched pricing. Select the model whose frequency coverage matches your application, then choose the listing for the condition you need.
The defining difference within the series is the Cable and Antenna Analyzer frequency range: the MT8221B covers 400 MHz to 4 GHz, while the MT8222B extends to 400 MHz to 6 GHz. The Spectrum Analyzer (150 kHz to 7.1 GHz) and Power Meter (10 MHz to 7.1 GHz) ranges are the same on both models, as is the optional Vector Signal Generator range of 400 MHz to 6 GHz.
The two models share the same option catalog, including the optional signal analyzers, interference analyzer, channel scanner, coverage mapping, and backhaul testers, with option codes prefixed per model. Refer to the comparison table that follows for the frequency ranges and configuration details that distinguish each model.
| Model | Cable & Antenna Analyzer Range | Spectrum Analyzer Range | Power Meter Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| MT8221B | 400 MHz to 4 GHz | 150 kHz to 7.1 GHz | 10 MHz to 7.1 GHz |
| MT8222B | 400 MHz to 6 GHz | 150 kHz to 7.1 GHz | 10 MHz to 7.1 GHz |
