SPM16 Wandel Goltermann Meter

The SPM16 is a meter from Wandel Goltermann. A meter is an instrument used to test and measure alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) voltage, resistance, RF, electric current, and much more.

Additional Features:

  • Frequency range: 10 kHz to 160 MHz
  • Bandwidths: 25 & 400 Hz, 1.74, 3.1 & 48 kHz
  • Selectivity: >55 dB at 400 Hz bandwidth
  • Digital & Analog display
  • Sweep capability

The Wandel & Goltermann SPM16 Selective Level Meter contains a synthesizer whose special features are low spurious modulation at frequency changeovers and high spectral purity. The Wandel & Goltermann SPM16's frequency can be set via a keypad, tuned continuously, or tuned via step and automatic step facilities. The Wandel & Goltermann SPM16 is ideal for sweep measurements as its frequency can be varied without causing phase discontinuities. When measuring the total signal level, the microprocessor control ensures that the signal drive range of the level measuring section is optimal. The result of this is high sensitivity, high resolution (0.01 dB) and a large dynamic range for the display (80 dB). Particular frequencies or complete Wandel & Goltermann SPM16 settings can be stored, so taking the tedium out of repetitive measurements. These parameters are not lost if there is a power failure.
