Mixed Domain

Mixed domain oscilloscopes test equipment using the combined capabilities of an RF input port and a spectrum analyzer. These two instruments, which are traditionally separate, come together in mixed domain oscilloscopes to time-correlate events in the time domain with those happening in the frequency domain. Mixed domain oscilloscopes have several benefits over typical oscilloscopes.

New designs of oscilloscopes integrate sensors, processors, and communications to blur the lines between analog, digital, power system, and RF designs. The mixed domain oscilloscope is the only single instrument optimized for measuring highly integrated designs. People looking to test equipment in the engineering, medical, automotive, and telecommunications industries can use mixed domain oscilloscopes.
