Solar Electronics Company’s founder, A.T. Parker, designed radio communications equipment during World War II. Parker designed the wiring the military used in aircraft systems for American bombers during the war. From there, Parker joined Stoddart Aircraft Radio Company in California as a chief engineer. In this position, Parker designed what would become the first receiver to measure what is now electromagnetic interference (EMI). In 1960, Parker founded the Solar Electronics Company to design and supply loop antennas, decade resistors, and other test items.
